# Content Terms And Credits

The GPL source-code license is **not a blanket license for all game content**.
The distribution profile is a free, noncommercial fan-mod preview, not a
commercially cleared standalone asset collection.
This inventory records project boundaries; it does not provide legal advice or
grant third-party rights the project does not own.

Detailed per-stage asset records, voice derivation and music sources are in
[asset provenance](openra/ASSET_PROVENANCE.md). Generated or supplied media is
included under the owner's direction and the recorded permissions; inclusion
does not certify unrestricted redistribution or confer permission to clone a
person's voice. The dated owner confirmation supersedes the generic unknown
plan status in historical import records, not the applicable provider terms.

Purchased Unity marketplace assets and previous engine prototypes are excluded
from the current Git tree and are not used by this game. Legacy Git history, if
retained, is not a license to redistribute archived purchased assets. Keep the
repository private until history and all media rights have been reviewed.

Setup obtains temporary content through the official OpenRA content manifest's
mirror list and verifies the pinned archive checksum. Obtain/use that material
under its own terms. Do not include the download in a source commit or the GPL
source snapshot. The 0.1.3 app bundles only this exact verified package, as part
of the free mod, with the EA notice and a per-file content inventory. C&C music
and movie packages are not included. This replaces the earlier installer policy
of obtaining the same content on first launch; it does not expand EA's grant.
The current preview relies on EA's noncommercial mod permission, with the
required nonendorsement notice. This is conditional permission, not a claim
that EA assets are open source. See the dated [distribution rights
record](docs/openra/DISTRIBUTION_RIGHTS.md). A commercial or donor-independent
edition would require replacing those dependencies or separate permission.
