It does not replace that license, the original copyright notices, or third-party license terms. 1. PROGRAM CODE AND WARRANTY Covenant Command is an independent game based on the OpenRA engine. The OpenRA engine and Covenant Command program code are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or, where specified, any later version. Covenant-authored code uses GPL-3.0-or-later. Individual third-party components retain their own licenses and notices. You may use, modify and redistribute GPL-covered code under the GPL. The software is provided without warranty, except where a separate warranty is given or applicable law requires otherwise. See LICENSE for the complete permissions, conditions, warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability. Nothing in this notice restricts the rights granted by the GPL. Engine: The OpenRA Developers and contributors. Mod SDK: OpenRA Mod SDK contributors. Game modifications and additions: Covenant Command contributors, 2026. The project includes original mod code and reviewed engine compatibility patches. Preserve upstream copyright notices and the upstream AUTHORS file. CORRESPONDING SOURCE Project repository: https://github.com/sunnypsmith/covenantcommand-openra For each distributed binary release, provide its complete corresponding source under the GPL, including the pinned engine source as modified, the Covenant mod's covered source/configuration, engine patches and required build and installation scripts. The source must match the released version. The project repository is currently private. Its URL alone is not a source delivery mechanism for someone who cannot access it. Before distributing a DMG, supply a version-matched source archive with it, or give every recipient equivalent access to that source at no additional charge, as the GPL requires. GPL-covered code may be redistributed by recipients under the GPL; private repository hosting does not remove that right. API keys and private signing credentials are not part of the distributed source. 3. MUSIC, VOICES AND EFFECTS Music created using Suno. Unit voices and audio effects generated using ElevenLabs. Avi announcer audio was generated through HeyGen using an ElevenLabs backend; that provider route remains recorded in the asset provenance. On 2026-10-20, the project owner confirmed paid Suno and ElevenLabs accounts and commercial-use licensing for the supplied music and voice outputs. The project records this as owner-confirmed permission for use in the game, subject to the applicable provider, model and voice terms. This is not an independent certification of every asset's rights or a claim of exclusive copyright in AI-generated output or ownership of a voice identity. These audio assets are not automatically relicensed under the GPL merely because the program code uses the GPL. This notice does not grant additional rights beyond those available from the relevant rights holders and licenses. Retain generation records and evidence of the applicable paid-plan coverage. Historical import manifests preserve their original, then-unverified status; the dated owner confirmation in this notice is the subsequent rights record. ART, ICONS AND MAP CREDITS Judah source art, sprite exports and derived icons are project development assets, mostly generated using OpenAI image tools. Their prompts, source images and processing records are retained under openra/art-source/. This notice does not declare all media GPL-licensed, CC0 or public domain. Development map terrain/resource layouts derive in part from OpenRA's Desert Rats map by Madness. Individual map files retain their source credits. Lucide icons: lucide-static 0.468.0, ISC license. The original license is retained at openra/art-source/ui/icons/LICENSE and reproduced below. ISC License Copyright (c) for portions of Lucide are held by Cole Bemis 2013-2022 as part of Feather (MIT). All other copyright (c) for Lucide are held by Lucide Contributors 2022. Permission to use, copy, modify, and/or distribute this software for any purpose with or without fee is hereby granted, provided that the above copyright notice and this permission notice appear in all copies. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND THE AUTHOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES WITH REGARD TO THIS SOFTWARE INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORTIOUS ACTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THIS SOFTWARE. 5. DONOR CONTENT AND TRADEMARKS Command & Conquer-derived terrain, interface, cursors and shared effects remain separate Electronic Arts content. This free, noncommercial fan mod relies on EA's Command & Conquer Franchise Modding Guidelines, revision 2 (2025-02-27), for EA-derived material, not on the GPL. That policy grants a limited, revocable, noncommercial mod license subject to its conditions. It is not individual written approval or a permanent license from EA. The mod must stay free of charge and must not contain sales, paid advantages, in-game donation requests or advertising for goods/services. Respect the policy's other content, third-party-rights, trademark and safety conditions. Do not use EA artwork/logos/trademarks to promote this project. EA may revoke its permission. Nothing here imposes a noncommercial limit on GPL code itself. No C&C music is included. From preview 0.1.3, the app bundles the checksum-pinned OpenRA quick-install content package for offline first launch, under these separate EA asset terms. Legal/BUNDLED-CONTENT.json identifies the exact files and hashes; no arbitrary donor archives or workstation content are included. These files are not GPL media and are excluded from the program-source archive. If these terms are unacceptable or permission is withdrawn, do not use/distribute that content; it must be replaced. Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert are trademarks or registered trademarks of Electronic Arts Inc. This is an independent project, not an official Electronic Arts or OpenRA release. No endorsement is implied. Purchased Unity marketplace assets and archived engine prototypes are not used by the active game and must not be included in its installer. DEPENDENCIES AND SOURCE DELIVERY The portable preview includes full license texts, upstream AUTHORS, an actual-runtime dependency inventory and a matching source archive beside the app in the DMG. Keep that archive with every copy given to another person. In-app Licenses and Credits opens the app's Legal folder. GNU FreeFont 20120503: GPLv3-or-later with font exception; matching font source and notices accompany the two unmodified font faces. ZoodRangmah is excluded. The unverifiable OpenRA-FuzzyLogicLibrary binary is excluded. Its replacement is built from included AForge LGPLv3 source (documented double-precision port) and a GPLv3 compatibility adapter. Native attack/flee rules are unchanged. Other bundled libraries retain their own terms, including MIT, ISC, zlib, FreeType License and LGPL. The dependency inventory identifies the actual versions and retained notices. LGPL source, modification/build records and library replacement instructions accompany the source archive. Recipients may replace/rebuild these separate DLL/dylib components and debug their modifications; a modified app needs re-signing, not Sunny's private keys. This software is based in part on the work of the FreeType Team. Portions are copyright (c) 2023 The FreeType Project (www.freetype.org). All rights reserved. The full FreeType License disclaimer is included. See docs/openra/DISTRIBUTION_RIGHTS.md and MAC_DISTRIBUTION.md for the reviewed scope, conditions and rebuild instructions. This is a documented distribution profile, not legal advice, a title guarantee or an EA endorsement. For detailed asset history, see openra/ASSET_PROVENANCE.md and CONTENT_LICENSES.md in the source distribution.
